Rod Nelson and Restoration Services Incorporated form VETCO LLC

U.S. Congressman Zach Wamp, R-3rd District, participated in a signing ceremony and helped Rod Nelson announce the formation of VETCO LLC, a service disabled veteran-owned small business, incorporated in Tennessee. Restoration Services Inc., a local woman-owned small business, is a minority partner in VETCO.

VETCO is an environmental services company with technical capabilities in the areas of project controls, regulatory strategy and documentation, characterization, and public involvement. With the support of RSI, VETCO delivers a broad range of technical resources and the strength of mature business systems and operating procedures, according to a news release.

Restoration Services Incorporated, was established in 1996 and has over 11 years of experience in the environmental field. RSI is a technical services company with over 100 technical personnel on staff. Staci Ferguson is the president of RSI.

Current and previous clients include the Bechtel Jacobs Co., U. S. Department of Energy, BW Technologies, U. S. Enrichment Corp., UT-Battelle, Paducah Remediation Services, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, and Theta Pro2serve Management Co.

At the signing of the Operating Agreement Staci noted that “RSI is proud to be able to provide assistance and support to a veteran that is disabled as a result of service to his country.”

Nelson is a veteran of the U.S. Army and disabled as a result of exposure to agent orange in Viet Nam. He has over 35 years of business experience gained in the federal government and the private sector. As a former project manager and member of the federal government’s senior executive service with the Department of Energy, Nelson has experience in the environmental and nuclear security fields. With his experience in the government and commercial arena he is qualified to provide service and business excellence to federal agencies.

Wamp who was present and witnessed the signing stated, “I strongly support their strong commitment to give back to the community and particularly, veteran support organizations.”
