Our blessing in Rep. Wamp
We believe the people of Chattanooga and the Third Congressional District are well aware of the great blessing we have in Rep. Zach Wamp as our congressman.
He is a fine man who believes in the right moral and constitutional principles, and is literally a ball of fire in working for our people both in Washington and our home area.
Not only is Rep. Wamp well-informed on the issues and most articulate in discussing them, he is unusually “available” and “accessible” to the constituents he serves. He and the fine members of his staff are ready to listen and act to serve our people.
Rep. Wamp not only has an excellent conservative voting record in Washington, but is very constructive in promoting economic development and personal citizen interests to advance our opportunities in the Tennessee Valley.
As he is running for re-election, he says the first issue most people bring up involves securing our borders against the massive illegal invasion. He’s strongly for secure borders, then having foolproof IDs for desired temporary workers, with no amnesty for law-breakers to get a short-cut ahead of legal applicants for U.S. citizenship.
Right up there with illegal immigration, he says, the voters are concerned about the “values issues” — the protection of marriage and the sanctity of innocent human life for unborn babies.
Rep. Wamp is a champion of the tax cuts that have stimulated economic growth so the taxpayers have a lighter burden while government collects more income from the larger base.
Rep. Wamp is an ideal example of what an excellent congressman ought to be. We are glad we have the opportunity to continue his service in Congress in the Nov. 7 election.
