Re-elect U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp

We can't think of a congressman who has sounder basic philosophy, works harder for our nation, state and community, and is a finer Christian gentleman than U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp. Thus, in a nutshell, all of those things are the reasons he should be re-elected to Congress to continue his excellent service for Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District.

Rep. Wamp is sound in his constructive conservative convictions. He understands how government works, and he wants it to work well for our people and our nation. He has the courage to stand up and to be independent in making his decisions. He has an excellent voting record.

In addition, he gives close personal attention to his constituents in their individual needs as they relate to federal government.

And he works fervently for our city, county, district and state. He is a ball of fire in seeking industrial development to improve our economy, jobs and culture.

He seems tireless in his efforts to promote the general welfare and also to be available for anyone who wants his personal attention.

In other words, he is a model congressman. Our country would be so much better off if we had 434 like him in the House of Representatives.

We appreciate his many years of enlightened and unselfish congressional leadership and look forward to having many more of them. He deserves an overwhelming vote of approval and appreciation.

 Rep. Zach Wamp’s Excellent Service

The excellent service of Rep. Zach Wamp in the U.S. House of Representatives has been so outstanding that it is fitting he has only nominal challengers in his Republican primary election Aug. 3, and also from Democrats. When we have such a good congressman, it just makes sense to keep him.

Rep. Wamp was first elected in 1994. He is a sound conservative. He has made an excellent record of independent thinking, sound reasoning and admirable philosophy throughout his congressional service.

As important as that is, his effectiveness has been much broader.

He gives careful personal attention to the individual concerns of his constituents as they deal with the federal government. He makes many visits throughout his district to be available to the people he represents.

He also has been a very effective leader for economic development throughout our whole area.

We look forward to his re-election for more excellent service.

Re-elect Rep. Zach Wamp

Our congressman, Rep. Zach Wamp, represents us well with his sound, conservative, energetic, constructive leadership. He serves our local community, the Third Congressional District, Tennessee and the whole nation. So he deserves an overwhelming vote of thanks in the Aug. 3 Republican primary election and re-election to Congress in the Nov. 7 general election.

Rep. Wamp made a noteworthy hour-long speech in the House of Representatives last week, saying important truths that nearly every fair-minded and knowledgeable person knows, but too few are willing to say.

Rep. Wamp correctly declared that "the U.N. is not worthy of the financial and diplomatic support the U.S. gives it, that it fails to stand against international terrorism and genocide, that it is guilty of gross corruption, that it is not only not helping win international peace and security (but) sometimes...the United Nations is in the way," with its resolutions being "meaningless," and having "no credibililty."

Able, commendable Rep. Wamp's comments hit the ineffectual U.N. nail on its head.
